Discover the spellbinding largest desert in the world: the Sahara. On this 7-day desert tour of South Morocco, combining the famous Erg Chebbi dunes in Merzouga and the remote dunes of Erg Chegaga, you will have a leisurely opportunity to achieve this goal.
DAY 1 Marrakech – High Atlas
Departure from Marrakech towards Asni / Ourigane l village
which is located at 70 km from Marrakech bellow the Toubkal
Mountain, the last step before the ascent of Toubkal, arrive to
village for the night. Overnight High Atlas.
DAY 2 High Atlas
Today after you breakfast at the hotel,optional trekking
around the villages and the beautiful Toubkal Mountains.
Back to the hotel on the afternoon. Overnight High Atlas.
DAY 3 High Atlas – Taroudant
After breakfast at the hotel we take our way toward Taroudant. The first step we drive through the
village of ljoukkak to reach the village of Tinmel (KM 100) which is an obligatory stop for all lovers of
history. Hometown of the Almohad dynasty, the restored ruins of the mosque are to visit. Its
architecture and its specific arrangement served as a model for this iconic mosques dynasty are
Koutoubia or the great mosque whose minaret of Seville is now known as the Giralda. After Tinmel,
the road is more winding and bumpy. RN 10 become inexorably rises towards Tizin’Test (KM 135)
located at an altitude of 2100 meters. On top of the pass, café offers a breathtaking view of the Souss
Valley. The descent towards Taroudant is particularly spectacular. Almost 30 kilometers, the narrow
road runs along the Jebel Siroua before reaching the plain of Souss (KM 165) and argan fields.
The last 60 km run through this rich and fertile valley populated by the
Berber Chleuh, after we reach Taroudant. Overnight Taroudant.
DAY 4 Taroudant – Taliouine – Taznakht – FoumZguid – Erg Chegaga
Today you will drive south crossing the beautiful landscape
via the town of Taliouine known as the Saffran Capital. Then,
arrival to Foumzguidbefore you get into the off-road to the
camp of Erg Chegaga dunes. You’llmeet the guide at 15h at
café chegaga in the center of Foumzguid& then driving
through some magnificent remote scenery, via Acacia tree
groves, across fossil beds, and the dried salt lake of Iriqui,
and then through deeper sand as you join the dune field.

DAY 5 Erg Chegaga – Zagora
Leaving the great dunes to the east, after breakfast,
enjoy a further 2 hours off-road journey to join the
next road at the village of M’hamid we stop for
relax and may have lunch on the spot and then
drive toward zagora with a stop in Tamgroute for a
worthy visit of the underground Kasbah + Library
+ Pottery, before heading to Zagora. Overnight
Zagora.
DAY 6 Zagora – AitBenhaddou
After you breakfast at the hotel, you start your trip
toward Ait Ben Haddou, driving through the draa
Valley, you continue to reach the Draa valley at the
length of 200 km, then arrive to Ourazazate after
30Km to reach AitBenhaddou Village, visit la
Kasbah AitBenhaddou. Overnight AitBenhaddou.
DAY 7 AitBenhaddou – Marrakech
After breakfast, drive to Marrakech. Follow the
single-track road northwards, gaining altitude
before stopping at Telouet to visit the kasbah
ruin. From Telouet join the main road crossing the
High Atlas mountains and the winding route
passes via typical villages and lush valleys on its
descent to the Marrakech plain.
