Itinerary
1st Day (Douz – Sahara Desert)
– Pick-up from your hotel or accommodation in Douz by a private 4×4 vehicle.
– Explore Douz, the “Gateway to the Sahara,” known for its vibrant markets and handicrafts (Souk available on Thursdays).
– Witness the transition from verdant palm groves to the vast golden sand dunes of the Sahara.
– Embark on an exhilarating 4×4 Land Cruiser ride through the desert dunes en route to the camp. Keep an eye out for Arabian gazelles, fennecs, or oryx in their natural habitat.
– Check-in for a one-night stay at a luxury camp in Douz (Sahara Camp).
– Savor an unforgettable night in a luxurious tented camp nestled in the heart of the desert.
– Enjoy a traditional dinner at the camp, followed by an evening of drumming and storytelling around the campfire.
2nd Day (Sahara Desert – Douz)
– 08:00 AM: Breakfast at the camp, followed by a scenic drive through the desert landscape.
– Continue exploring Douz and its surroundings, taking in the serene beauty of the Sahara.
– Transfer back to your accommodation in Douz by early afternoon.
