Itinerary
Day 1: Douz – El Hachana
Begin your adventure in Douz, trekking through the golden dunes to reach El Hachana. Enjoy a traditional lunch in the desert. In the evening, the staff will set up your bivouac camp, and you’ll spend your first night under the stars. Breakfast will be served in the morning.
Day 2: El Hachana – El Alouia (Marabout Visit)
After a staff-prepared breakfast, continue your journey through high dunes toward El Alouia. Visit a local marabout and enjoy lunch amidst the scenic dunes. In the evening, relax around the campfire as the staff sets up the bivouac camp for another peaceful night under the desert sky.
Day 3: El Alouia – Rose de Sable
Start your day with breakfast before trekking toward Rose de Sable. Discover the fascinating “desert rose” formations, unique natural crystals created through the crystallization of gypsum. Enjoy lunch in this remarkable landscape. In the evening, the staff will set up your bivouac camp for a restful night under the stars.
Day 4: Rose de Sable – Bir El Ghar
After breakfast, continue your trek through golden dunes toward Bir El Ghar. Stop for lunch along the way, and upon arrival, the staff will set up your bivouac camp for the night.
Day 5: Bir El Ghar – Aouinet Jaber
Enjoy a staff-prepared breakfast before trekking through sweeping dunes to Aouinet Jaber. Stop for lunch during your journey, and when you arrive, the staff will set up your bivouac camp for another peaceful desert night.
Day 6: Aouinet Jaber – Oued El Raml (Permanent Camp Stay)
After breakfast, continue your trek through golden dunes toward Oued El Raml. Enjoy a hearty lunch en route. Upon arrival, stay at a permanent camp where you will have access to shared showers and toilets. In the evening, savor a delicious dinner and enjoy traditional drumming around the campfire, immersing yourself in the vibrant desert atmosphere.
Day 7: Oued El Raml – Douz
On the final day, enjoy breakfast at the camp before embarking on the trek back to Douz, completing your Sahara journey.
